Just imagine a radiant sun
that covers your whole life,
that sprout green stems from dry trunks
and on the grass of the field the animals graze,
daisies are born
and an orange Monarch flutters…
*
There, under your innocence,
an old woman holds a hurt sparrow,
she lets it fly and it becomes a dove,
her tears are of joy
because she knows it is free.
She sees like it glides and trips over rocks
(never it flew so high before)
but she smiles because she is happy.
*
Just imagine that it dawns with a copious rain.
Fresh water falls that purify everything
and in each drop they carry
the bitternesses.
In one the mistrust,
in another, those fears
and in this one, all the sorrows.
*
Just imagine that when the night comes,
the sky comes down next to you and millions of stars come,
like sparks of diamonds
to cover you with joy.
And I'm there to sink into your chest
and let your arms rescue me from sorrow.
*
I will wait to see you like a dove
and when I feel the rain fall,
I will know that you name me.
